Factory

DemandMade Factory is a Web-based application designed to streamline the complete order management and assembly process including private-labeled fulfillment for made-to-order consumer products. Using lean manufacturing principles, Factory is designed from the ground up to support single-piece orders from retailers or marketers who need access to timely and accurate order status information and delivery confirmation. These orders may consist of consigned inventory which is embellished on demand, products which are assembled from components and even those produced entirely from scratch.

Working together with our Custom Gateway application, Factory helps assembly or production facilities manage component inventory and consigned items, meet service level commitments via aging reports and includes support for private labeled drop shipping.

In addition to order management, Factory is also a process application which uses lean manufacturing principles to help streamline the product assembly process. Management can assign and manage multiple user log-ins and access layers for specific job functions and monitor performance with a wide range of online reports.

Factory consists of three modules:

Warehouse Management

• Enables production facilities to configure multiple warehouse topologies including inventory bin locations, zone / sector set-up, forward picking locations, pick-by-zone assignments and more
• Enables real-time, bar code-driven inventory control for consigned items or product components, including redundant consigned inventory from multiple third parties
• Logs all movement of inventory, allowing warehouse managers to assign accountability and track performance
• Includes private-labeled drop-shipping and full integration support for most major carriers

Production & Order Processing

• Web-based lean production application integrated with our Custom Manager and Gateway applications which streamlines product assembly and kitting processes
• Sophisticated manufacturing process tracking with aging reports and service level monitoring
• Supports custom integration with third-party manufacturing platforms for specific production processes. For example, Factory is integrated with various garment embellishment software and equipment including Pulse and Tajima

Accounting & Reporting

• Royalty reporting for programs consisting of licensed products
• Three-way matching for purchasing component inventory and other items
• Integrates with most third-party accounting applications
